So, on a whim I decided to give up Facebook for 40 days. For Lent. No, I'm not Catholic. I was talking to my best pal Stefanie and she said she had given up Dr. Pepper for Lent. I thought - "I could give up FB!!!" So, I decided and that was that. I had been feeling a little disenchanted with FB and the feeling I had to check it everyday - multiple times a day. I just had a weird feeling - can't really explain it. Plus, I felt like it was a little impersonal and voyeuristic (Sp?) Anyway, now I feel left out. I'm out of the social loop. I don't know what's going on with anyone. I haven't seen an status updates, new pictures or even been tagged in a photo. So, I feel like a kid who wasn't invited to the birthday party or something. That sounds silly, doesn't it? Anyway - maybe this is a good thing. Maybe I was too dependent on a machine to keep me in touch with the people who are important to me. I will say, I absolutely miss seeing everyone's pictures. Since the discovery of Facebook people have stopped blogging. Even me. My last post was in Aug. And those of you who faithfully once blogged - you know who you are -when was your last update? Probably months ago like me. I mean, why post your pics in TWO places on line? So, I guess until Easter I will be using my blog as my social outlet. I wonder who even still checks these things?? If you're my friend and you're reading this, post something in the comments. Just so I know you're out there. I have some new pictures of my own to post. But not now. Later. I have to get ready for church now. And go break up the fighting amongst my three kiddos. Yep. Philip has reached the stage where he is invading Madeline and Susanna's playtime. He's taking their toys from him. Now I have three kids who fuss at each other. The noise factor around here is about to increase ;)
