Madeline's First Movie...

Madeline went to see her very first movie last night with Mommy and Daddy! She was so excited to see a movie on the big screen. We took her to see "Over the Hedge" and she really enjoyed it! It was one hour and 27 minutes and it kept her attention for almost the entire time.

Here we are in the black light on the way into the movie...Madeline thought the stars in the theater and the glowing lights were pretty cool!!

Here we are getting ready for the movie...she even had popcorn too! Mommy and daddy really enjoyed the movie too. It had some funny humor for adults in there too. (funny, not crass). Plus, one of the bonuses for mommy and daddy was that Ben Folds wrote 5 songs in the movie. We're big fans of his and had no idea he wrote the soundtrack until we watched the movie! http://epicrecords.com/overthehedge/ <--go here and you can hear 2 of the songs from the movie. ----> Go here and you can get to his website and hear other stuff http://www.benfolds.com/

Bowling and Bangs

Yesterday was a busy day for us. It was a day of changes too. First of all...I got a whim to go get my hair cut. Actually, I've been wanting to get a haircut for a while now. I have a stylist that has cut my hair for years. I don't really have to go into details with him. He just knows. But you typically have to make an appt. at least 2 weeks in advance. I'm an impatient person sometimes. So, I just went out to a local place and walked in. Well, I talked to the stylist there. He was saying all the right things that made me feel less nervous about going to someone new. I felt like he understood how I wanted him to cut my hair. But there was one little detail I failed to mention. I didn't even think about it b/c my usual stylist knows. I don't want my bangs cut!! So, the dude was cutting my hair yesterday and he spun my little chair around and before I knew it...before he could be stopped...I had bangs!!! I haven't had bangs in probably 6 or 7 years. Now I have them. They are odd. They are in my face. but I will learn to work with them. The rest of my haircut was great. Exactly what I wanted. But who knew I had to tell him NOT to cut my bangs!!

So...after the hair cutting...Matt and I went bowling! The company I work for was a sponsor for this weekend's "Mark Harmon's Celebrity Baseball Game" in which Mark Harmon and his team play against several of the doctor's that are part of the group I work for at the Bricktown Ball park. All of the proceeds go to the Children's Center http://www.thechildrens-center.org/ in Bethany. So, anyway, they had a bowling tournament last night. Matt and I were invited to play along on my hospital's team. (There were MANY teams/sponsors). It was a lot of fun!! There was a lot of great food, and desserts and bowling. We were able to bowl 2 games before we had to go pick up our babies. I bowled a 90 and 96. Yes, I did see Mark Harmon. No, I didn't ask for his autograph.
