Haunt the Zooooooo

This is the second year we've gone to Haunt the Zoo...it is a lot of fun! Madeline and Susanna really enjoyed it. Madeline is the only one who actually trick-or-treated....Susanna had fun riding along in the wagon watching! She did very good. Neither of the girls were afraid of any of the costumes. Uncle Mike, Dylan and Papa went too. Dylan was a lion and girls were the cutest little red lady bugs you ever did see! :)

Here we are right before we left...

Madeline is getting some fat-free cheetos from this nice scarecrow!

Susanna is happily riding along in the wagon...

We stop for a minute to take a picture!

Mind Your Own Business - Lifechurch.tv

This is a link to the first of a series on debt and debt management at Life Church. This lesson talks about the bondage of debt and what we can do about it. It's about 30 minutes and definitely worth the time to watch.

Happy 31st Birthday Daddy!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Daddy turned 31 on October 13th, but we had his birthday party today at his parents house. He received a rick firewood from his parents (Yeah!) and money from everyone else. Matt and I decided that we were going to buy concert tickets for each other and that would be our gift. But, Madeline and Susanna got daddy Season 1 of The Office (the BBC version) on dvd.

Matt gets ready to blow out the candles on his birthday pumpkin pie. He loves his grandma's pumpkin pie!

Susanna has learned to smile when you point the camera at her!

Daddy received lots of birthday cards.

Madeline is helping daddy open one of his presents!

A leisurely stroll...

We took Madeline and Susanna to the Bricktown Canal for a walk on Saturday. It is a really nice area and it is very pretty. Madeline enjoyed the walk and throwing sticks into the canal. Daddy enjoyed climbing on the statues :) We were lucky and a train came by while we were there, so Madeline loved watching it. The conductor even waved and honked the horn for her. Next time we want to ride the boat. I want to wait and ride it at Christmas and see everything decorated with Christmas lights.

Hair Today...Gone Tomorrow!

Mommy decided that Madeline's hair is in her eyes too much. Here is a picture of what Madeline's hair looks like first thing in the morning. I think she has very pretty hair but thought she needed something more manageable. Sooooo........I took her back to Snip-Its. She really enjoys going there.

Here is Madeline's after photo...I just LOVE her hair. It is much shorter but it is soooo cute. It will be very easy to take care of and it will stay out of her eyes.

Play Group!

Here is a picture of Madeline eating lunch with some of her friends from our playgroup. Once a week we get together with some of mommies friends and their kids and Madeline and Susanna have a really fun time playing. We do activities, we go to the zoo, play outside and have a lot of fun! In this picture, Madeline made a silly face when I told her to "Smile!"

Here is Susanna playing on the floor. We go to Waverly's house a lot and she has a TON of toys for all of the kids to play with. Susanna really enjoys crawling around exploring all of the new toys!

A Day Out with Thomas...

Matt and I took Madeline to the Oklahoma Railway Museum recently to spend "A Day Out with Thomas". Madeline loves Thomas and Friends. It's one of her favorite shows and she LOVES to get a new train every time we go to Target :) Here she is standing in front of a wood carved conductor at the museum.

Here we are in the gift shop. Madeline picked out this stuffed Percy but we talked her into getting a t-shirt instead. We thought she'd get more use from a t-shirt and that a stuffed toy might just get lost in the toy box.

Here we are, getting ready to go....the train ride was approximately 25 minutes and we went 2.5 miles. It was pretty slow. I thought it would be a much faster train ride. It was very fun, though. Madeline really enjoyed it.

Here she is standing in front of Thomas himself!!

Madeline is playing with some train tables that were set up. We have to watch her because she likes to control all of the trains and doesn't like to share :)

Matt looks a little cautious of Sir Topham Hat....

Matt and Madeline are posing in front of a train named Mavis. That is the name of Matt's grandma and Madeline's great grandma!! We really had such a good time. The railway museum is sponsoring another train ride at Christmas with Santa Claus. Plus, they will be reading The Polar Express. We can't wait!!!
