Last night before bed daddy was pretending to be sick.
Madeline made him feel all better by applying all sorts of
things to him. Have a look....daddy is such a good sport!

Fun in the Summertime!

Some friends of ours recently had a birthday party/cookout.
It was a lot of fun and the kids really enjoyed it. There was a
cotton candy machine, a snowcone machine, grilled hot dogs,
a bouncy and a band! All the things you need for a perfect
summertime party. Mommy even enjoyed a snowcone and some
cotton candy too. And daddy was lucky enough that the
mosquitos left him alone for a few hours!

Our Fifth Wedding Anniversary!

Matt and I recently celebrated our FIFTH wedding anniversary
by taking a trip to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. We really enjoyed
ourselves and our time away. We missed the girls
and thought about them a lot (we even caught ourselves
watching Wubzy). But having a chance to be away
by ourselves was a needed break! We have a lot of
pictures to share....

This is Matt's Alma Mater, John Brown University in

Siloam Springs, Arkansas.

This is the first "Wal-Mart" started by Mr. Walton. It was originally a 5 and10

and we all know that the rest is history...it was a pretty

interesting museum, though! (regardless of whether or not you like Wally World)

This is the cottage where we stayed.

The War Eagle Mill. We ate breakfast here and learned

about mill grinding. Very interesting. They have a huge

craft show here twice a year. I'd love to go! Oh!! And there

was no plumbing!! They had a "fancy" outhouse.

Here are some pictures of downtown Eureka Springs...

This is a view from a roadside trinket shop.

We camped one night of our trip too!
What a beautiful view!
Hot dogs for dinner!

This was "Pivot Rock"

We visited the grounds of the Passion Play but didn't actually watch it.

We visited Onyx Cave also.

The headphones tell us about the cave...

This part was off limits...

Memorial Day Parade

For Memorial Day we went to our first parade!
There was a parade in town and we found a place
alongside the street where everyone would
be "parading". The girls really enjoyed it.
The folks in the parade threw all kinds of candy,
toys and even flowers. This is something we'll
definitely have to do again!

Madeline Catches Her First Fish!

We recently took Madeline fishing for the first time. Her papa
bought her a new Princess fishing pole and she couldn't
wait to use it. She needed a little help with casting and
reeling but overall did a great job. She even dug up
her own worms for bait. Of course, daddy put
the worm on the hook and took the fish off of the
hook for her!
