A Day at the Zoo...

On August 29th, Susanna turned 9 months old. She is getting so big. She has just started crawling. She could "scoot" before, but now she can crawl and get to where she is wanting to go. She has discovered the dog food and water. She loves to crawl to her big sister and discover what she's doing. Susanna can repeat "uh-oh" and makes all sorts of other fun noises. She still loves her jumperoo and her favorite toy is a little plastic duck made by Baby Einstein.

Madeline is growing up very quickly too! She is 2 years and 7 months. She can count to 10 and knows all of her ABC's. She can sing all the words to her favorite songs: ABC's, Twinkle Twinkle, Jesus Loves Me and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (She loves rudolph!) She can even identfy several states and their locations with her US puzzle. Her current favorite toy is Thomas and Friends and she loves to watch Thomas on t.v. She also really likes to watch Dragon Tales on PBS.

Daddy's Little Girls...

These are daddy's girls, that's for sure.

Here are the lyrics to one of my favorite songs. It's a song by Ben Folds. He wrote this for his daughter and it's on the Saving Silverman album...it's definitely worth a listen!

You can’t fool me I saw you when you came out
You've got your mamma’s taste but you got my mouth
And you will always have a part of me
Nobody else is ever gonna see
Gracie girl
With your cards to your chest Walking on your toes
What you got in the box Only Gracie knows
And I would never try to make you be
Anything you didn’t really want to be
Gracie girl
Life flies by in seconds
You’re not a baby Gracie, you're my friend
You’ll be a lady soon
But until then
You gotta do what I say
Nodding off in my arms watching TV
I won’t move you an inch even though my arm’s asleep
One day you’re gonna want to go
I hope we taught you everything you need to know
Gracie girl
And you will always have a part of me
Nobody else is ever going to see
but you and me
A little girl
My Gracie girl

Dinner with Aunt Mo-Mo

We had dinner with aunt Morgan last week and it was so much fun getting to see her. It's been a while since we were able to spend time together, so it was nice getting to hang out with her! Of course, Madeline and Susanna loved her. :) She is good at tickling and making them laugh. We will definitely have to do this again soon. P.S. Happy Birthday Aunt Morgan!!!

Morgan turned her head away so I wouldn't take her picture...

But then she decided to smile here with Mike....

Aunt Melissa and Dylan really had fun seeing Morgan too!
